Applying for jobs at scale introduces a surprisingly difficult problem: maintaining context over time. After dozens — or even hundreds — of applications, job seekers often experience:
- Forgotten applications and lost job descriptions
- Confusion over multiple resume versions
- Forgotten interview details and unclear follow-up timing
- Scattered information across job boards, email, PDFs, notes, and spreadsheets
When interview invitations finally arrive, applicants frequently spend valuable time reconstructing the original application instead of preparing for the interview. The challenge isn't the application itself — it's retaining the context.
This project originated from a real experience during remote job applications. While applying through platforms, interview invitations would often arrive days or weeks later. By that time, preparing for interviews required searching through emails, locating old resumes, and rebuilding context manually.
Eventually, the realization became clear: the problem wasn't getting interviews. The problem was remembering everything around them.
ViaNova is not a job board, recruitment platform, ATS for recruiters, or a simple resume builder. It's an AI-powered Career Intelligence Workspace for job seekers, built on one core design principle: every application deserves its own workspace. Instead of treating applications as rows in a spreadsheet, ViaNova treats every opportunity as an evolving project.
