How I grew as an engineer.
Rather than a list of jobs, this is the progression of what I could build at each stage — and why each new skill set followed naturally from the last.
Started with the fundamentals — APIs, databases, and server logic. Learning how data moves reliably through a system, and what makes an API easy for someone else to build on.
Extended into the frontend to understand the whole product, not just the API layer — connecting interface decisions to the backend systems that support them.
Shifted from "getting features working" to engineering discipline — architecture, testing, maintainability, and thinking about how a system holds up as it grows.
Started applying LLMs and workflow automation to remove repetitive manual work — the beginning of the Automation Lab projects.
Moved from automations into full AI-powered products — systems like ViaNova and ClauseGuard AI that put AI at the center of the user experience, not just behind the scenes.
Now focused on complete systems that solve real operational problems — combining full-stack engineering, AI automation, and system design into one coherent solution.
